David Bowie dies at 69
David Bowie, one of the most influential recording artists of all time, passed away on January 10, 2016, after a battle with throat cancer. He was 69.

Bowie has released his 25th studio album, "Blackstar," to strong reviews on Friday.

Bowie was one of the most celebrated musicians of modern times. Released only four days ago, the video for single ‘Lazarus’ was Bowie’s parting shot, opening with a blindfolded, fragile-looking Bowie laying in bed. His first words “look up here, I’m in heaven/I’ve got scars that can’t be seen” are now obviously an admission of his ill health, rather than just a fantastical musing on mortality. It soon becomes obvious that the bed he's in is a hospital one and Bowie begins to float above it, signifying his transmutation to the other side – whatever, or wherever that may be. Watching it now, it’s a statement as bold as it is bleak.
The UK Proposes Mandatory User ID Checks for Porn Websites
Internet users may soon face identity checks to access online adult content in the UK, according to the Guardian. A scheme proposed by the pornography industry would see porn websites verifying visitors’ identity with organizations such as banks, credit reference agencies and etc.

“This is cutting-edge censorship,” said Myles Jackman, a lawyer specializing in obscenity law. “We are now becoming the world leaders in online censorship. And we are being watched very closely from abroad.”Not only have the draconian proposals been blasted for censorship, they also pose privacy concerns.

The plan is for checks to pass through an "anonymizing hub" that removes identification in both directions on the request, meaning that in theory only the fact that the user is over 18 is out there, but there are always weak points in such systems.
India to Block Uber, Ola and Other Taxi Services
India’s Department of Telecom (DoT) asked Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to block the URLs of Uber, Olacabs, TaxiForSure and Angel.

The authorities said that these companies were not operating legally as they were running cab operations without the necessary licences. Commenting on this issue, Rajesh Chharia, President, Internet Service Providers Association of India (ISPAI) said, “We can only block http websites and not the https. We have contacted to the telecom department that sites with high encryption codes cannot be blocked by us.” Since, the Uber and Ola are https sites; therefore, they could not be blocked. However, TaxiForSure website has been blocked in Delhi with immediate effect.

Earlier, all app-based taxi services were banned in New Delhi after a driver of Uber was allegedly accused of raping a female passenger. As Uber continues its quest for global ride-hailing domination, India is crucial to win. The country is Uber’s largest market outside of the United States in terms of cities covered and has a radio taxi market worth an estimated $6 billion to $9 billion

World No Tobacco Day
"Today, 31st may is World No Tobacco day. So for those who do smoke, let today be the day when you quit smoking.

Tobacco (definition):

An American plant (Nicotiana Tabacum) of the Nightshade family, much used for smoking and chewing, and as snuff. As a medicine, it is narcotic, emetic, and cathartic. Tobacco has a strong, peculiar smell, and an acrid taste.

The leaves of the plant prepared for smoking, chewing, etc., by being dried, cured, and manufactured in various ways.

Here Are Different Forms Of Smoking And Tobacco Use:

Apart from the common forms of smoking like cigarettes, cigars and pipes, there are some other forms of smoking as well. They are discussed below:

1)Smoking cannabis
2) Smoking hashish
3) Smoking cocaine
Apart from these different forms of smoking, there are also different forms of tobacco use:

4) Chewing tobacco
5) Bidis
6) Dipping tobacco
7) Kretek or clove cigarettes
8) Snuff
9) Snus

Consequences of Using Tobacco in Any Form:

Tobacco has been variously hailed as a gift from the gods, a miraculous cure-all for life's physical ills, a solace to the lonely soldier or sailor, a filthy habit, a corrupting addiction, and the greatest disease-producing product known to man. This diversity of opinion has continued unchanged for centuries and has appeared until very recently to be little affected by research results from more than 900,000 papers thus far published on the topic. It is common knowledge that cigarette smoking is the single major cause of cancer and cardiovascular disease in the United States, contributing to hundreds of thousands of premature deaths each year, yet one-fourth to one-third of American adults continue to smoke.

Disease Caused by Consuming Tobacco:

1. ORAL CANCER - At least 80% of oral cancer patients are smokers.
2. LEUKOPLAKIA - Approximately 80% of leukoplakia patients are smokers
3. NICOTINE PALATINUS (STOMATITIS). Once a common mucosal change of the hard palate, nicotine palatinus has become something of a rarity as cigar and pipe smoking have lost popularity.
7. LEUKOEDEMA – 60% of smokers get this disease
11. ACUTE NECROTIZING ULCERATIVE GINGIVITIS (ANUG) – mostly happens to d people who smoke abt 10 cigarettes
13. CARIES (Tooth decay).
15. EROSION - The chemical dissolution of enamel has occasionally been reported in tobacco smokers and chewers, but only as a secondary consequence of using breath mints or as idiopathic cases. Erosion does not seem to be a serious problem and, in fact, chewers may be somewhat protected by the natural alkalinity of smokeless tobacco.
16. DIMINISHED BLOOD FLOW - Several physiological oral alterations produced by tobacco use have already been mentioned. The average smoker experiences a 60-70% reduction in oral mucosal blood flow while smoking
17. POOR PERIODONTAL ATTACHMENT - The cytotoxic substances absorbed from tobacco, especially nicotine and cotinine (its major metabolite), are found in secreted saliva and crevicular fluids.
18. INCREASED SALIVARY FLOW - While cigarette smoking typically causes a noticeable short-term increase in salivary flow rates, the long-term influence of tobacco use is unclear
19. CANDIDIASIS AND MEDIAN RHOMBOID GLOSSITIS. The great majority (83%) of oral candidiasis patients are moderate to heavy cigarette smokers.
20. ZINUSITIS - Tobacco smokers are much more prone to maxillary sinusitis than nonusers and this condition typically resolves or is significantly reduced when the smoking habit is discontinued.

This is just a part of the list for consequences of smoking…..

And i have a message for People who smoke :

think about one thing, Someone is waiting for you at your house door just to see that you reach home safe. Don’t think about your self, think about them .. Before u smoke a cigarette…

We all have to die one day, that's a fact we all know. But the way we decide how our death will be does matter, Would you like to die like a human with no problems and dying the way almighty has decided for you?

Today as it is ANTI TOBACCO DAY let us all promise that we will stop smoking..

If u don’t believe in what I say then just watch this video which will tell you how that “smoking kills”
Understanding Global Warming
A combination of light and heat energy from the sun reaches Earth and warms the land, oceans and air. When Earth's surface warms up,it radiates heat which rises towards the sky.

A few gases in the atmosphere called the greenhouse gases(water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone etc.)absorb this heat and prevent it from escaping into space, thus warming Earth.greenhouse gases keep the Earth warm for all living things to survive;without this warmth,Earth would be about 33*C colder than it is today! The ozone layer in the middle portions of the earth's atmosphere(30 to 60 km from earth's surface) provides a protective cover, known as the earth's umbrella, to all the organism in the earth. It protects the Earth from harmful ultra violet radiations from the sun. In fact, this layer filters the radiations coming from the sun and absorbs harmful ultra-violet rays and allows only those radiations which are essential for maintenance of life system on Earth.

In 1985 a British Antarctic survey team reported 40% loss in the ozone layer over Antarctica. After that, many scientists had studied the phenomena and found that a new threat had emerged from a synthetic chemical called Chloro Fluoro Carbon(CFC) present in the modern personal care products namely hair sprays, deodorants, shaving creams and many other cosmetic materials The use of these products is spread over the whole world. So, a threat regarding the existence of the ozone layer has emerged. The chlorine present in Chloro Flouoro Carbon can destroy ozone layer, wherever CFC gets concentrated. If ozone layer is damaged, ultra violet rays from the sun will reach us in full intensity and strength. All living and non-living organisms would severely be damaged and get injured with tons of disease and eventually will die.

Since 1880, large scale burning of fossil fuels and the other human activity has led to an increase in level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. As a result, Earth has warmed by 0.8*C.

GLOBAL WARMING shifts Earth OUT of balance

#Since 1980, Earth has experienced 19 of its 20 hottest years on record.

#The sea levels are rising faster, threatening to flood coasts, wetlands and many low-lying islands.

#On an average , rainfall and snowfall patterns have changed across the globe.

#Around the world, glaciers are melting rapidly.

#Raised temperatures have also triggered the extinction of many animal and plant species.

#The rates of warming in the Last 50 years is double the rate observed over the last 100 years.

Lets take a look at some of the things we will need to say goodbye to, if our earth gets any hotter!

Warmer temperatures are killing eucalyptus trees, the main food source for koalas. It is feared that because of this koalas could become extinct in the next few decades!

Global warming means bad news for base ball lovers! Ash tree from which all baseball bats are made, is in the danger of disappearing because of warmer temperatures

Between 1961 and 1997, the world's glaciers lost 890 cubic miles of ice.

As rising ocean temperatures are killing off their food supply, more number of gray whales are being washed up on beaches after starving to death.

United Kingdom Has New Prime Minister
Five days ago the people of the united kingdom went to the poles to elect a new prime minister with the three main parties being:

Labor with Gordon Brown
Conservatives with David Cameron
Libral Democrats with Nick Kleg

The poling stations were open from 9am to 9pm unfortunately a lot off people were turned away after 9pm in this day and age in the UK it seems a wrong thing to happen, and makes the UK sound like a third world country.

By 6 am Friday morning a clear winner was declared. but unfortunately not by a majority, the Conservatives won 304 seats out of 326 which they needed for a clear victory, Labor received 254 seats while the Lib Dems got less than 60, so no one party won outright, so for the first time since 1974 the UK has a hung government (that does not mean we get to hang all politicians) it means a formation of two government parties into one so a coalition government can now be formed

7.20 pm

Prime minister Gordon brown makes a speech outside 10 downing street stating he is resigning as prime minister of great Britain and northern Ireland and heads off to Buckingham palace for a meeting with her majesty the queen stating his intentions to resign and that Mr Cameron should be given the chance to form a government
Magnitude 7.2 quake shattered California
On this Sunday, 4th of April, an Earthquake of magnitude 7.2 has turned everything upside down from Los Angeles to Tijuana. This disaster left out the cities with shaky buildings. Two people lost their lives in Mexico. The situations became damn unbearable that even hospitals and nursing homes were evacuated not to get it more worse as there was no sign of electricity and water anywhere and even the buildings were gone unstable. And for the same reason one city of California shut off.
